Introduction
The EP202 ozone and negative ion air cleaner is compact in size, technologically advanced, and can simultaneously eliminate odor and purify air. It is suitable for use in places such as the living room, bed room, garage, etc.
Ozone is a very powerful oxidizing gas which oxidizes long chain molecules that can be smelt by the nose. When oxidized, these long chain molecules break down into shorter molecules that cannot be smelt, thus removing the odor from the air.
Negative ions are considered the “vitamin of the air”. Molecules usually carry a neutral charge; however, when molecules lose an electron, they become anions (negatively charged ions). Anions are relatively unstable, and will attract and trap any free electron pairs. As a result of this attraction, small air pollutants and dust molecules bind with anions, producing an air purifying effect.
EP202 has dual output of ozone and negative ions. It generates a sine wave high voltage, which is applied to two stainless steel pins thus releases negative ions. These negative ions are relatively free from harmful NOx molecules, unlike the ions produced from using high voltage pulses. Because of the simple waveform used, the device gives minimal interference to nearby electrical appliances.
In addition, the powerful ozone generated by twin neon is released by an internal fan, resulting in the effective dispersion of deodorizing ozone over a broader area. This enables ozone de-odor ability being effective over a wider area. The amount of zone generated by EP202 is well below the international health safety standard of 0.08ppm over 8 hours.

The package
There are five items in the box:
Installation
1. Push the battery cover downwards to open. Install four alkaline AA batteries into the battery compartment. (The terminal with a spring is the negative terminal.) Replace the battery cover.
2. For continual indoor use, use the power adaptor supplied:
a. Use the two screws provided to fit the mounting bracket onto the back of the unit
b. Insert the round shaped outlet of the power adaptor into the only socket at the back of the unit, and plug the other end to an appropriate electrical socket on the wall.
3. Place the unit at a convenient position so that the negative ions and ozone will be most effectively dispersed throughout the room.
Operation
Gently press the ON/OFF button once to switch ON the unit, as will be indicated by the flashing neon LED and the feeling of static wind at the output holes at the top. Do not press the ON/OFF switch for too long as it may then turn the unit OFF. To turn it OFF, hold the button for about 2 seconds.
A set of batteries should provide 5 hours of use. When the speed of the flashing neon becomes very slow, the batteries should be replaced.
Due to the fact that ozone is about 1.7 time heavier than air, it is recommended to place or mount EP202 at a position as high as possible and to face the source of the odor.
Always make sure there is air flow in the surrounding environment to prevent the built up of ozone, although ozone will be converted back to oxygen in about 30 minutes after it is generated.
